Baby it's cold outside!!!

With our ridiculously low temps this week I had to bust out Wynn's snow coat, hat and mittens. She looks so cute but can barely move in it all! :)

My daughter is a carnie....

So Sam and I are convinced that Wynn may just be a carnie someday. A damn good one at that. Check out her mad balancing skillz........ oh and the wipeout at the end was completely tear free! Heads up that I flipped the camera sideways halfway through so turn your head when that part happens. :)

Also, check out what mommy taught her this weekend! The tongue click!! I was doing it to her on Saturday and she was watching me really intently. She was watching the way my mouth and my tongue moved and then she did it all by herself!! Oh and it's so funny how she kept hugging her bunny chair over and over. Check it out:

My first Trick or Treat with my cousins!

Tonight I took Wynn up to trick or treat with her cousins, L and J! It was so fun and she had a great time! Our trick or treat here isn't until Halloween night so of course she had to wear a different outfit then she will wear on Friday. She was a Steelers Cheerleader and she couldn't have been cuter!! L was a butterfly, or futterfly as she calls it, and J was a train conductor. They were adorable!!! They kept calling her "wienie" instead of Wynnie and it was the cutest thing I've ever heard. She got to ride the cool train across the street from Amy's house that her neighbor runs for the kids in the hood with me! She loved it and grabbed the bar and danced around!! She kept trying to eat the candy with the wrappers on it and she had her first candy, m & m's which she loved. We carted all three of them around in the wagon and Gigi pulled them around. Here's some pics!

Fall Family Pics!

It was absolutely gorgeous here on Sunday afternoon so we decided to take advantage of the beautiful day and get our family pics taken not too far from our house. There's a gorgeous conservatory with ponds and waterfalls and ducks! It is beautiful! Wynn did well but she's such an observer that she was really checking everything out and was absolutely not into smiling on cue. :) Oh well, we got some great pics! Check 'em out!!

Another busy weekend...

Gosh we haven't stopped all weekend. I am exhausted. Today we went to church and to B and B's 3rd birthday party. Wynners was very tired there so we basically stayed about an hour and headed home for her to nap. Then we got all gussied up and had our family photoshoot at Franklin Park Conservatory! It was great and Wynn LOVED the waterfalls, ducks, leaves, pumpkins, so basically everything! I have really realized what a little observer she is. She likes to check everything out and take it all in. We had some problems getting her to smile on cue but she really enjoyed herself. They turned out great and I can't wait to make this our family tradition of family pics every fall!

Wynn is walking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So on Thursday, Oct. 16, our peanut took her first 10 steps in a row!!!!!! I think we officially have a half walker. :) She's still crawling some but has really realized that she can get where she needs to go on just her two chunky legs. She's doing great and I'm sure that within the next week or so she'll be a full time walker! Go big girl!!!

Becoming new members of the church....

Sam and I were inducted as new members of our church on Sunday. We weren't aware that this was happening this particular day as in our new member class it was understood that we would be doing this next Sunday. We are being inducted in front of the entire church family this coming Sunday but we were voted in by the elders in a small ceremony with just the new member class, the elders and the reverend. It was very small and intimate and I am so excited to become a part of our new church family!

"The gang"

GO BUCKS!!! Saturday was a crazy day!!!!!!!!!!!! Sam and I met up with my best girlfriends from my freshman year in college. Mom and Amy took Wynn and the twins to the fall festival at Doran's farm while we were down there. Amy headed down to campus to meet up at a tailgate with Reds and Sam and I trekked up there to hang out for awhile. It was so amazing to see meet up with my old friends and spend the day with them. I have missed you all so much! Anne and Eric, Leah and Mark and Christi and Mike all came in for the game (well, Anne lives here but still) and Sam and I met them down on campus. What an awesome day! Many beers and laughs later the day was over. :( I have truly missed my friends from the bottom of my heart and thank God that we were able to get together and have a blast! Thanks girls and I can't wait to see you again!! Love you! Of course I felt slightly like ass on Sunday but it was well worth it. ;)

Shopping with Kelly and Cam!

Of course I'm a little late posting but this weekend was super busy! Friday Wynn and I met up with our great friends Kelly and Cameron at Jeffersonville. Of course I always love an outlet mall but it was even better to be with our great friends! I was so excited for Kelly and Cam to meet Wynn because the last time I was at their house Wynn wasn't with me. We had an awesome time! Cam and Wynn got along so well and they were so cute together. Of course Mr. Cam a lam looked so handsome in his My Mom is a Fox shirt that I designed for him on Wynnies Whimsies. It was SO sweet of Kelly to dress him in that for me to see. She is so thoughtful! Cam kept trying to "kiss" Wynn and he giggled like a little flirt. They were fantastic babes all day and Kelly and I got a ton of shopping in and and got awesome deals! Can't wait to do it again!

Wynn's due date

Today was Wynn's original due date. It strikes me today because "this" was the day that I always had in my head as my little girls birthday. "This" was the day my whole entire pregnancy that I looked forward to. It's ironic to me because of course I never made it to this day but this was the day that my daughter was to be born but also the day that we put my sweet Willie boy to sleep. He was the sweetest, most loving kitty in the entire world and there will never be another boy like him. I remember that day that we had to do it realizing that it was Wynn's due date and feeling like as one life ended another was just beginning. Wynn would have loved Willie and he would of loved her. I miss him so terribly much and always will. Rest in peace my sweet Willie boy. I love you.

12 month Well Baby Visit

Wynn did pretty well at her 12 month well baby visit today. Here are her stats:

Weight: 21.6 lbs. - 55% percentile

Height: 30.25 inches - 85% percentile

Head Circumference: 44 cm - 20% percentile

So, my kid still has a peanuthead!! :) She's doing great and is getting long and lean. The only thing the pedi is even slightly concerned about is her aversion to table food. The fact that she constantly chews food up and spits it back out is not good. She eats cheese puffs, cheerios and goldfish like there's no tomorrow but I can't get her to eat meat or veggies without it being baby food. She's really picky. She said if it continues for another month she'll recommend a food clinic to work with her on textures. I have no idea what that means but if it helps then whatever. We're also going to try 2% milk instead of whole milk. She kept spitting up the whole milk so we're hoping that the 2% isn't as rich and doesn't upset her tummy. We'll start mixing it half and half with her formula tomorrow and see how it goes. Otherwise she is just PERFECT!! My big girl. I had to set her 15 month appt. today and it felt weird. She got her chicken pox and flu vaccine today but I'm choosing to hold off on her MMR vaccine until she's two. The pedi was fine with that so I was glad about that. All in all she was good but hated her shots. Screamed bloody murder. I think the ones she got today hurt more than the others. Then she was super fussy tonight so hopefully she'll be her happy go lucky self again tomorrow. We'll see I suppose...

Wynn's new kitchen!

Auntie Amy (my sister) got Wynn the cutest kitchen for her first birthday! I put it together for her today and was putting things in the oven (even though it was her baby doll) and "stirring" her pots! She was totally getting it. Well, until she put the spatula in her mouth and started eating it but whatever. She's starting to get it! Check her out!

This weekend at church and the pumpkin patch

Today Sam and I took Wynn to a pumpkin patch called Pigeon Roost Farm and it was soooo awesome!! It had a ton of stuff for kids to do. There was a petting zoo, a hayride, camels, roosters and chickens, bunnies, tons of pumpkins, wood carving, homemade crafts, etc. She had so much fun and considering the fact she took ONE 30 MINUTE nap the entire day we were super surprised about that. She's such a smiley, happy, sweet girl! I couldn't have asked for a better child. Seriously.

The day started out with us going to church and checking out the mission fair. I signed up to be a part of a Presbyterian Women's circle, the Christmas cookie walk, Adopt a child for Christmas, Secret Santa and Moms on Maternity. Can you tell I love Christmas :)! Moms on Maternity is super cool because it consists of helping to provide a weeks worth of food for a new mom and a handknit blanket (Lord knows I cannot knit so I will just be delivering that!). Then we were off to our new member meeting. We have one class left (it is 6 weeks long) and then we become new members on Oct. 19. I am really excited!!

Onto the pumpkin patch...
Here's some pics of my sweet Wynn! I love creating these special family memories and can't wait to for her to see these pictures someday.

First Costume Party

Saturday night I took Wynn to her first costume party! It was so fun. My friend, Joy, had a Halloween themed party for her 6 year old, James' birthday. Wynn dressed as Thumper and was so cute and pot bellied! Seriously, her belly was so big that I couldn't put her in her carseat safely so I ended up having to dress her there. She had a great time and actually ate chicken and cheese there. I was amazed! She's been making more progress as far as not being quite as picky with her food but we have a ways to go. She's stubborn just like her mama! Here she is as Thumper:

Holy coldness!!

Today when we woke up it was 40 degrees out!!! Of course Wynn had to wear one of her new coats today since it was so darned chilly out! I just can't believe it's that cold out already. I am NOT ready for the summer to be over. I have to say though that fall is my favorite season but inevitably winter comes after that and I hate our winters. Ice storms, below freezing temps and freezing rain do not make me happy. Here's Wynnie in one of her winter coats for the first time ever! It's hard to see but you get the point :).
