Battle Scars

The result of my kid's face smashing into Jojo's Kirby sweeper. :( I just hope it doesn't scar. My poor peanut.

Jimmy and Jessie's Wedding!

We had a fabulous weekend out of town for Jimmy and Jessie's wedding! Wynn was fussy on Saturday because she's cutting her vampire teeth (GRRRR!) but overall she was really good. :) The wedding was beautiful and of course I had fun tearing up the dance floor with Amy and Charity! Here's a few pics of our weekend with Grandma and PapPap.

Happy family :)

What a weekend!

We had a super busy weekend but got alot done. On Saturday Sam and I made a play area for Wynnie in the backyard and it turned out great! She had a ball playing in it! I was so over the nasty grass back there so we dug it all up and reseeded so hopefully that will be all grown in in a few weeks.

Then we headed over to Ade's house for her son's first birthday party. It was so fun and even had a visit from the Easter bunny! A family friend of theirs has the costume and really enjoys kids so he wanted to surprise them all. Of course, every single kid there freaked and wanted nothing to do with him except for Wynn. I tell you what she is going to have a ball at Disney this year!!

Just monkeyin' around!

We got Wynn a new jungle gym for the backyard on Easter (LOVE Craigslist) and she's like a little monkey on that thing. Check her out going down the slide:

And I loved this picture of her playing on it with Lucie trying to climb through the window. :) Our dog is crazy! She seriously thinks she's a human.

Last but not least our WONDERFUL friend, Allison, picked up an adorable backpack for Wynn at the Wynn Las Vegas when her and her hubby were there a few weeks ago!!! It is sooooooooo cute and Wynn felt like some big stuff walking around with it on. :) It has her name embroidered on it (since it's from the Wynn) so it was so cool to be able to get something custom for her that didn't have to be ordered. Only at The Wynn. :)

Hoppy Easter!

Happy Easter to everyone! We had a great day yesterday with Gigi, Auntie Mimi, Uncle Redsie and Zizzy and Joe. :) The kids had an Easter egg hunt and Wynn did really well. She got herself 8 eggs!!!!!! Once she figured out what we were doing she was on a mission. They also got to play outside and Wynnie was ALL over their big kid swingset. Wish we had a bigger yard to put up one of our own. Someday! Wynnie did get a fabulous Easter basket today and mommy and daddy surprised her with a new jungle gym for the backyard. She went wooky!!! Enjoy pics of our special weekend. :)

A Day at the Doctors!

Goodness sakes. We just got done running around like crazy people this morning trying to squeeze two doctor's appts. in before 9 am at two totally different locations and managed to pull it off.

First, we hit the Opthahlmology office to do her surgical follow up appt. and the doc said she is healing great! He says he doesn't anticipate that she will need another surgery but we should know for sure, one way or the other, within about 6 weeks. She will potentially need to wear a patch for awhile though to strengthen her left eye because it is still the weaker eye. They eventually want for her eyes to be the same strength.

Second, she had her 18 month appt. with her pedi. She was a DOLL there! She was running around giggling, hugging and kissing her pediatrician and talking up a storm. Dr. Carlos (her pedi) said she was actually a little freaked out that she was being so well received by an 18 month old because normally they're screaming and kicking at this stage when they go to the pedi. Not our little peanut! She is doing GREAT and said that she's right on track age wise for eating, walking, climbing, etc. She did say that her vocabulary is not the norm at this stage because she says so many words and says most of them so clearly. She said her enunciation is exceptional and so is her vocabulary in general. We were very impressed with our baby genius. ;) Here's her stats at 18 months:

Height: 32 1/4" tall, 75th percentile

Weight: 23.10 lbs., 45th percentile

Head Circumference: 18", 30th percentile

Her head finally grew people!!! Woot! She's never been above the 25th percentile and is generally hanging out right around the 15th so I was happy to hear that. Our little princess is doing perfect!

Peeing in the potty!

Big news this week....Wynn peed on the potty last night and this morning!! She gets so excited and I'm so proud of her. :) I would LOVE if she were potty trained by two but we'll see how it goes.

Wynn Finally got a Pony

Tail that is!!! My big girl finally has long enough hair to put it in a ponytail in the back. I had to use two little barrettes just to contain some fly aways on the sides but it stayed in the whole time she played. I just can't believe what a big kid she looks like now. Between that and her glasses she looks about three to me lately!

Yesterday was so nice (I'm ignoring the fact that today and tomorrow call for snow, wth???) so we got together with our friends Samantha and her son, Caden, for some fun in the sun! Enjoy!

Giving Caden a smooch!

Easter Festival!!

What a great day we had today!!! I took Wynn to an Easter Festival and we had a great time! We got balloon animals (Wynn got a flower), got her picture taken with the Easter Bunny, decorated cookies, did an egg walk, and tons of other stuff! The only downer to the day was that Wynn is REALLY starting to throw tantrums when she doesn't get what she wants. When I even tried to hold her hand when walking through huge crowds of people she yanked it away and threw herself on the floor in a free fall. WTH??? I swear I always said I would never do it but I'm thinking about getting my kid a leash. No joke! I couldn't have imagined if I lost her in that giant crowd today. So, we had a great time and girly girl was cashed out. She then took a 1/2 hour nap on the drive home and was up for the rest of the day. :) I took her the playground in our neighborhood with "tucieeee" and she had a great time! Then we had dinner with Gigi (LOVE PF Changs!) and Wynnie cried when she left. :( It was so sweet!

New Vids

I took these last week before her surgery so her eyes are white as snow in them. :) I just keep forgetting to post them so I figure I probably should do it while I'm thinking about it. Wynn's new favorite word is "yeah" and she will answer that for any question you ask her! I even asked her if she wanted to eat poop and she said "yeah" but I'm pretty sure she wouldn't really do that. Well...maybe not totally sure.

"Yeah"

I've always been a stickler for manners and Wynn has really caught on the last 6 months or so. I would say that she's become quite the little lady but seeing as she began picking her nose last week I'm not sure that description fits. She generally says "please" and "thanks" and now has begun saying "Excuse me" when she burps or toots. :) It sounds like "moo me" but she knows why she's saying it. :)

Manners

Lollipop, lollipop, oh lolli lolli lolli, lollipop!

Wynn received some absolutely wonderful gifts for being such a trooper for her surgery. She got a stuffed lamb with glasses from Auntie Ade and Carson (that they stuffed special just for her at Build a Bear), an adorable bunny from Jojo and a fantastic Sesame Street gift basket from Auntie Di, Tom, Hannah and Kate! We just got it last night and she was ripping through that thing sorting through all of the cool stuff. It had coloring books, crayons, board books, bubbles, figurines, hair bands and clips, a Zoe bag, stickers, Goldfish, animal crackers and most importantly a Tootsie Pop. Ahhhhh! Wynn was in heaven! She enjoyed her first ever lollipop last night and LOVED it. Thanks so much to everyone for thinking of her and for putting a smile on her sweet face.
