A Day at the Doctors!

Goodness sakes. We just got done running around like crazy people this morning trying to squeeze two doctor's appts. in before 9 am at two totally different locations and managed to pull it off.

First, we hit the Opthahlmology office to do her surgical follow up appt. and the doc said she is healing great! He says he doesn't anticipate that she will need another surgery but we should know for sure, one way or the other, within about 6 weeks. She will potentially need to wear a patch for awhile though to strengthen her left eye because it is still the weaker eye. They eventually want for her eyes to be the same strength.

Second, she had her 18 month appt. with her pedi. She was a DOLL there! She was running around giggling, hugging and kissing her pediatrician and talking up a storm. Dr. Carlos (her pedi) said she was actually a little freaked out that she was being so well received by an 18 month old because normally they're screaming and kicking at this stage when they go to the pedi. Not our little peanut! She is doing GREAT and said that she's right on track age wise for eating, walking, climbing, etc. She did say that her vocabulary is not the norm at this stage because she says so many words and says most of them so clearly. She said her enunciation is exceptional and so is her vocabulary in general. We were very impressed with our baby genius. ;) Here's her stats at 18 months:

Height: 32 1/4" tall, 75th percentile

Weight: 23.10 lbs., 45th percentile

Head Circumference: 18", 30th percentile

Her head finally grew people!!! Woot! She's never been above the 25th percentile and is generally hanging out right around the 15th so I was happy to hear that. Our little princess is doing perfect!

  1. Great update! Sounds like Wynn is doing incredibly well. Hopefully she won't need a second eye surgery and that her left eye will srengthen on its own. And yay for the potty victory! :)
