Happy birthday to our sweet and sassy Miss Auden Elisabeth!! She turned two on June 24th and I just can't believe that two years have already passed. It's very bittersweet to have my little toddler suddenly becoming a big girl but it's really fun at the same time. We spent her birthday enjoying pizza, cupcakes and play at Auntie Mimi and Uncle Redsie's house and had a ball. Her party was held on the 30th at a local park and although we had horrible storms here the night before it was a beautiful (albeit hot and humid) day for her party! So many friends and family showed up and she had such a great time. Auntie Ade made her the most amazing lemonade cake and cookies. Her theme was "Choo Choo Auden's Two" and did quite a few train themed things for the big day. I'm waiting for pics of the day from a friend of mine who took the photos so I will post them once I get them.
She had her 2 year appointment last Thursday and she's still a petite little miss. Here are her stats:
Weight: 23 lbs. 4 oz. (10-25th percentile)
Height: 33.5 inches (25-50th percentile)
Head: 10% (both of my girls are peanut heads)
She is doing wonderfully and totally on track with her development and speech. She has also really started to want to go in the potty and even pooped on the potty on her birthday!! She has started a habit of ripping off her diaper, throwing it the trash and then sitting on the potty a few times a day so I think I'm going to have to hardcore potty train her in the next few weeks. Fun times althought it will be nice not to have to buy so many diapers!
At 2 years old are you:
- Wear a size 4 diaper still
- Wear size 3 or 4 shoes (midget foot)
- Wear 18 month bottoms and 24 month tops
- Have beautiful copper colored hair with curls at the bottom
- Repeat EVERYTHING and have probably at least 200 words. You are also combining words at this point.
- LOVE to play with choo choos, barbies and balls. You play really well by yourself and your dollhouse can keep you occupied for hours.
- LOVE your big sister. You have been calling her "Ween" for the last few months but just last week you started saying "Wynnie" and she loves that you follow her around saying her name and trying to hug her.
- Fave cartoons are Dora and Tom and Jerry
- VERY picky eater. Fave foods are mac and cheese, goldfish and fruit
- You LOVE our dog, Lucie, and call her Gooey. Every morning when you wake up you say "Daddy?", "Wynnie", "Gooey", looking for all of the people you love so much!
- Climb everything still. EVERYTHING.
- love to ride your tricycle and put your helmet on just like a big girl!
- Playing outside is your very favorite thing in the world, just like Wynnie!
Dear Auden,
You have been such an amazing and sweet addition to our family. You bring so much love and joy to our family and you adore your big sister! It is so incredible to watch your little personality form as you grow older. You are definitely a mama's girl (which of course I love!) and you pretty much go with the flow which makes our lives so much easier. :) Hearing you say "mommy" and watching your face light up when I walk into the room brings me so much joy. :) I miss you when I'm not with you and can't wait to snuggle you when I see you. You lay your sweet little curly haired head on my shoulder and saw "awwww" and it melts my heart. I absolutely cannot wait to watch you grow into the beautiful, independent and precious young lady that i know you will be! Happy 2nd birthday my precious little lady!!
